My Project

As an educator deeply committed to my students, I am constantly striving to provide them with opportunities that will ignite their passions and guide them toward a brighter future. My students are predominantly Hawaiian, many from low-income families, attending a Title 1 school in the tight-knit community of Waimanalo.

The gamers who know, know—it’s more than just playing; it's a space to breathe, strategize, and be part of a community.

The specific items I am requesting, such as the Metapen Pencil, ergonomic chairs, mobile desks, and gaming chairs, are not just tools—they are symbols of investment in my students' futures. The Metapen Pencil will allow them to explore digital creativity with precision, turning their ideas into tangible, sharable work. The ergonomic chairs and adjustable desks will create a comfortable, flexible learning environment that supports both their physical and mental well-being, helping them stay focused and engaged. The gaming chairs will provide the perfect setup for our budding esports team, instilling a sense of professionalism and pride in their space. Together, these resources will transform our classroom into a dynamic, motivating environment where students feel valued and empowered to pursue their interests.

My goal is to build an esports legacy in Waimanalo, one that not only hones gaming skills but also develops teamwork, strategic thinking, and leadership. I want to provide my students with a space where they can explore career opportunities in the world of gaming and technology—fields that are often out of reach for communities like ours. My role as their Kumu is not just about teaching; it’s about being an opportunity provider, showing them that their dreams are valid and achievable. These students deserve every chance to shine, and with the right resources, I believe they can redefine what success looks like for themselves and our entire community.
