Help me give my students rubber bands, glue, glue sticks, masking tape, wiggly eyes, pencils, erasers, stamp pads, a calculator, sticky notes, paper, stickers, hole punches, book rings and other learning basics.
I am a first-grade teacher in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are very special, and I just love going to school every day to see the sparkle in their little 5- to 8-year-old eyes. I also get to connect with students of various ages during and after school. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students! We participate in so many fun activities throughout the year, and our hope is to add even more.
My Project
I have taken special training classes to work with students who struggle with dyslexia and other learning challenges. These students are involved in special education, and learning is hard work. We meet every single day, and use fantastic multi-sensory approaches to sharpen our reading, writing, listening, and spelling skills!
It is a treat to work with these students, and they are growing by leaps and bounds, using super fun, hands-on learning strategies!
I am asking for some classroom basics for my special learners including rubber bands, glue, hole punches, book rings, stickers, tape, pencils, erasers, and paper. The book rings and hole punches are for us to make our flashcard/red word rings. The students get to make and use these themselves and they love to do it! The rubber bands are to hold our vowel tents and sticks together. The glue and glue sticks are for making our daily special morpheme, grapheme, and phoneme projects, and for making glue dot letters to trace with our fingers. The stickers are for special rewards. They have been doing so well with their spelling lists and I want to be able to celebrate their success with these fun stickers! All of these classroom basics are for the students to use. Having all of these learning materials ready to go, each day, will make our special dyslexia classes run smoothly, and make them fun! Thank you for your support!
