Help me give my students good quality printouts of worksheets, tests, projects, and color copies of certain materials--like project guidelines, and scanned notes.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, socioeconomic levels, and cultures. Some have prior knowledge to do basic math problems in chemistry and others struggle with dimensional analysis and other quantitative analysis problems. They are hard-working students and eager to do well in chemistry. I want to provide all of our chemistry students with the tools that will help them understand how to solve chemistry problems and be successful. Giving each student the instruction they need to master the concepts in chemistry will help improve equity in learning.
My Project
I had a wonderful printer that recently died. A good printer can provide students with good quality diagrams, lab protocols, project guidelines, individual sets of notes, and scanned notes that can be easily uploaded onto our learning management system. My special education students appreciate having their own set of notes to accompany a lecture, and when I am trying to show how a project should be completed, colored copies go a long way!
All of my students use the notes, worked example problems, and keys that I scan and upload online--a good scanner is paramount to providing students with the best support possible.
I am excited to get this replacement and keep providing my students with the materials they need.
