Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My second graders need your help. My class is part of a student body that makes up every socioeconomic background. We are a Title One school, and more than half of my students face financial struggles. Literacy is a major challenge for the majority of my students. We need the supplies listed to aid students in focusing and building their foundational skills, so they become proficient readers and writers. We don't have proper working headsets that can enhance their skills and testing environment. For most of my students, they face challenges with transportation or access to a computer outside of school. I teach 49 students and I noticed over 95% were unable to purchase a copy of their student's published work from a completed project we submitted to Student Treasures Publishing. I decided to focus on the critical items needed for our class but if anyone is also interested in donating to help cover the cost to purchase 47 copies for Ms. Malone's class 2nd Grade "Our Favorite Animal" book project it would mean a great deal to the families. I thank you immensely in advance for your support.
