I teach an enthusiastic group of second graders with a wide range of talents and abilities, likes and interests. I have future authors, artists, dancers, engineers, doctors, and teachers in my classroom. They are full of potential.

My students are always encouraged to be curious, explore, and examine possibilities. I work to take my classes from 21 individuals to one community of learners. I will help my students develop a love for learning and the desire to become life-long learns. I provide hands-on, project and activity-based learning experiences for my students. I encourage play and help my students develop their creativity. I will also work to develop empathy and compassion in my students.
My Project
With these materials I will be able to create games and activities for students to practice our math, reading, and writing skills. The card stock and ink will allow me to print bright, colorful games that students can use to practice our reading and math skills. I can quickly create and print game boards that go right along with our math and reading lessons. I can then laminate them, and students can write on them with dry erase markers for an instant game board. This makes learning fun and exciting. I can also print high frequency words on card stock to make them more durable for continued practiced.
Colored ink and brightly colored durable paper make a big difference to my students.
