This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school where the poverty level is high and 100% of students receive free meals for breakfast and lunch. You would never know this because my students always come in happy and ready to learn. My students have ALL gone from being virtual learners to face-to-face learners. Everyday my students arrive excited to be at school.

Each student has an inner strength and the desire to learn that helps them push forward and motivates them to achieve more.

My students started kindergarten at various academic levels and with little to no English. The majority of my students have no prior school experience.

I have high expectations for my kindergarten students and given the tools and opportunity they will reach their goal.

My Project

I print materials for my students to engage in while at stations, centers, small group, and large group lesson. A color printer would help me create engaging activities and lessons for my students by printing their hand on materials and visuals in color. This color printer will grant me the ability to print activities that will include real world picture to help students develop connections, enhance their vocabulary, and enriching their language.

The colorful materials will brighten up our class and their daily lives at home and at school.

Color turns a boring game into an exciting, engaging activity that students are more inclined to want to play multiple times.

The printer will also allow for differentiated instruction materials. It will provide me the opportunity to replace the plain black and white games and activities.
