Brightening Our Halls for New Beginnings

Help me give my students colorful wall decals, ceiling decorations, and soft light filters to create a warm, welcoming school environment where all children feel excited to learn and belong.

My Project

I love how enthusiastic, resilient, and creative our students are. With around 700 children with us next year due to a school merge, we want to make sure everyone feels welcome, safe, and valued. These students deserve more than blank brick walls—they deserve a school environment that reflects the energy and joy of learning. Wall decals will turn empty spaces into colorful learning areas. Ceiling decorations will bring excitement and visual interest to everyday spaces. Soft light filters will create a more calming atmosphere that helps students focus and feel comfortable.

This project will help us build a strong sense of community.

By creating a more inviting, child-friendly space, we aim to reduce anxiety during the transition and foster a positive school identity that our students can be proud of. When students feel connected to their environment, they are more likely to feel confident, engaged, and ready to learn. Every bright hallway and cheerful ceiling decoration will be a small way of saying: “You belong here."
