My Project

The Sunshine State Young Readers Award list features engaging and age-appropriate books that capture students' interest, encouraging them to read more and improving their literacy skills. Access to these books can spark a passion for reading, helping students develop lifelong learning habits. Exposure to a variety of genres and authors also broadens their horizons. Many of the books on the Sunshine State list reflect diverse perspectives and experiences. This can help our students feel seen and heard while expanding their understanding of the world.

Our students have a passion for reading, but often lack the resources to access the books they enjoy.

This project will help give all of our students equal access to fantastic stories.
