Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Kindergarten is the first year of traditional schooling. The goal in my kindergarten classroom is for students to learn social skills and fundamental basics of knowledge that will guide them through the next 12 or more years of school. Over half of my wonderful kindergarten students are learning English. Their diverse backgrounds make our classroom a wonderful place to be!
My rambunctious kindergartners are experiencing all the new thrills of school and are excited to learn new things each day.
My students come together each day with the same goal: to learn new things and create new friendships. They are excited about learning letters, numbers, and the foundations of reading and math!
My Project
Each day my students complete 3 rotations for Language Arts Workstations. This is the time I use to work with small groups on reading and writing skills. The students love using our light table for learning, however we only have numbers and shapes for our table. We need these light table letter and word traces so that we can use our light table for even more learning experiences! The sensory kit will allow a whole to element for the light table center! We can search for letters in the sensory bin and make words with those letters!
My students love hands on, interactive learning experiences!
These materials for our light table will make them so excited and eager to build and write words and letters! Please consider supporting my classroom of amazing kids!
