Brighten Their World!

Help me give my students the ability to take home books and materials printed in color. With color printing capability, students will be able to take home books with vivid color pictures instead of black and white copying.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As a teacher I love to see the smile on my students faces when they have read their first words or show me an art project that they have completed. My students don't have basic supplies at home. Many of them do not have books or crayons let alone printers and computers.

My Project

My district only offers printing in black and white. Many of my students do not have books at home. I will use the color printer to print color copies of take home stories for students to build their home library. The printer will also be used to print classroom decorations in color so that students are walking into a classroom, print enriched environment every day. And as students become more fluent readers I can update their libraries based on how much they have grown as a reader. I will build their library one book at a time.
