My students need a new projector with accompanied speaker as well as a Chromebook with the management license, to make learning engaging and productive.
My fourth grade classroom is a place for students of all backgrounds to come, learn, and grow. In the year to come, students will have a chance to explore all areas of life. Students will learn what it would have been like to live during the time of the gold rush, dive into fractions and how we use them in day to day life, and how technology can be used as a tool to help us better understand the world around us.
Each student in our class is unique and special in their own way and as a class we strive to support one another in these diverse needs through the use of technology.
My students are directly impacted by the world around them and as an educator I aspire to create a place for these students to become life long learners. Each one of them has passions, dreams, and aspirations they hope to one day achieve. As their teacher I love to encourage, guide and help them as they continue to grow. Having current technology will allow us to better accomplish these goals.
My Project
In our classroom we strive to present ideas and materials in a variety of different ways. One of the best ways to do this is through use of a classroom projector. Currently our classroom projector is at the end of its life. With a new classroom projector and speakers we will be able to watch educational videos, share slide presentations, and explore all that the world has to offer. Students use our projector daily to share work as well as access the daily curriculum.
In addition we hope to use this technology to create, share, and improve upon what we are learning.
With a new projector and chromebook, students would be able to work individually, with partners, and in large groups to design and walk through lessons every day. With chromebooks we are able to access programs such as Prodigy, Investigation Math, Google Drive, Thinglink, and so much more. Students are able to take any subject area and expand upon what we learning in the daily Common Core and NGSS curriculum. Technology provides access to students as they discover multiple ways of solving problems.
