This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders are curious, creative, and full of energy! They light up when they’re given a chance to explore, problem-solve, and work together—and they absolutely thrive when learning feels like play. I love how they ask big questions, dream up wild ideas, and cheer each other on when things get tricky.

The Sphero Indi Student Kit will be a total game-changer in our classroom!

It gives my students the chance to become real-world thinkers as they build mazes, experiment with cause and effect, and learn the foundations of coding—all without a screen! These robots bring coding to life in a way that’s age-appropriate, hands-on, and FUN.

This resource will help my students develop critical thinking, perseverance, collaboration, and STEM skills—skills they’ll use far beyond first grade. It’s not just about robots—it’s about building confidence and opening doors to future opportunities. I can’t wait to see where their imaginations take them with Indi leading the way!
