My Project

We are a K-5th-grade school with about 750 students, including a large population of students working hard to become proficient in English. Our students come from all different religious and cultural backgrounds, along with socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is also privileged to serve military families and children of the Air Force Military Base. We truly serve such a diverse group of students. Although they are all different, they all deserve the best education possible! I teach at an elementary school and boy do we have several outside events that take place in the hot Louisiana weather.

I am requesting a canopy tent to help protect my students from the hot weather that ranges from 90-100 degrees.

It gets very hot outside in the Spring and when you are outside all day learning, you feel the heat. We have carnival, field day, fun run, and several outside events throughout the year that this canopy would be used for. It would provide us some shade while we have fun taking our learning outside.
