Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love color and anything that is bright will attract their attention. They are fascinated by the way things work and where they come from.
My students need tabletop light panels and light manipulatives to explore literacy concepts like letter recognition and math concepts like one-to-one correspondence and addition.
These manipulatives will be used during whole group and small group instruction and independent learning time. The light trays will help students master counting and sorting skills and will aid in developing vocabulary. The crystal building blocks will have letters written on them to help students build words and match uppercase to lowercase letters.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
