Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have an amazing group of third graders. They are eager to learn and love stories. They come from many different backgrounds and cultures and our class includes several students who speak English as their second language. We are working hard in all areas including building a strong classroom community and creating values of respect and good citizenship! Every day we work hard to do better than we did the day before. Our school is a low income school which qualifies for free breakfast and lunch. Many of these kids come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. We truly appreciate your support in our education!
My Project
In order to maintain their skills and practice new skills, students need printed materials in color. They will use colorful mats to play math games and focus on reading skills.
Students will use this resource to become authors of their own books they are writing for their kindergarten reading buddies!
Our class has been reading with a group of kindergarten students. They are young teachers who inspire reading and are growing friendships with these younger students.
We are seeking a low cost Epson Expression Eco-Tank wireless color printer with refillable ink. This printer with ink will allow us to publish our written work and art work. Most of students do not have resources necessary to use technology at home. I would love to give them this opportunity to become young authors and provide them resources in the classroom in color to help build their skills. We would truly appreciate your support! It means the world to me and my students!
