Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We strive to create a welcoming and exciting space for learning. With flexible seating, dry erase dots, different writing tools, and storage for materials our small group area will improve efficiency and give students more and varied opportunities for practice. Storage bins will allow us to more effectively plan for groups and improve our efficiency as we will be able to prep and keep materials for groups in distinct and portable bins.

Our learners love variety and your support in bringing choices in writing, math, and literacy practice will assist students in engaging more in content because materials makes a more lasting impact when learners are excited and joyful.

Our students love writing; whether it's on paper, dry erase boards or playdough. Colorful dots for small group work will add excitement and will allow for even more visual and kinesthetic learning opportunities. Students love options and flexible seating gives students the opportunity to explore where and how they learn best. Our lone yoga ball is a popular option and would love some friends.

Adding color and covering shelves with contact paper will allow us to preserve and extend the life of some well-worn shelves while also making the classroom more inviting and distinguishing between centers.
