This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my fifth year as an elementary teacher and my first year as a first grade teacher! My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels welcome, valued, and excited to learn. My students are curious, energetic, and full of potential—they deserve a learning space that meets their needs and fuels their love for learning.

To support this, I'm seeking resources that will make our classroom more engaging and interactive.

Headphones will allow students to focus during listening activities, supporting literacy and comprehension skills. Colorful card stock will brighten up our room and be used for fun, hands-on projects. Dominos will serve as playful tools to reinforce important concepts like long and short vowels and CVC words. Silly sentence builders will help students explore sentence structure while having fun creating their own stories.

These resources will help bring lessons to life, support a variety of learning styles, and foster a classroom community where students feel inspired, included, and ready to succeed. Your support will help us build something truly special this year.
