it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a brand-new teacher, I’m preparing my very first classroom for a group of bright, curious 1st- and 2nd-grade learners. I want to welcome them into a space that feels warm, organized, and inspiring from the moment they walk through the door.
The materials in this project will help me create that environment.
Bookshelves will give our classroom library a cozy, organized home, making it easy for students to discover books that spark their imaginations. A rolling cart will help me organize materials efficiently, keeping lessons smooth and engaging, which is very important in a combo class. Organizational tools will allow us to make the most of our space and help students take ownership of their learning materials. Lighting will make the room feel calm and welcoming, and posters will fill the walls with encouraging messages and visual supports for early learners.
Though I don’t yet know their names or faces, I know these students deserve a classroom that reflects how important and capable they are. Thank you for helping me build a beautiful space where their learning journey can truly begin.
