Allowing students to bring their learning to life in a hands-on way with activities and projects is the best way to engage them in their education. My students are imaginative and creative and love to get their hands dirty when it comes to our lessons.
My goal as a teacher is to build confidence in my students through creativity and self-expression.
Having art supplies in our classroom allows me to integrate art into all of the different subjects. I also plan to give students art lessons throughout the year with different types of mediums, where they can be creative and express themselves however they'd like.
Those art supply basics like brushes and paint will not only give students the chance to give their creativity space but they can be used in our academics as well. The flair pens will allow them to create posters and drawings on a variety of subjects. The brushes, paint, and paint bins will give them a chance to create vivid posters to advocate for water conservation in science demonstrating their knowledge, understanding, and passion for our environment as well as other topics. The paper towel rolls and tape will give them a chance to bring history to life in a 3-dimensional and colorful way.
