Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are incredibly resilient, curious, and eager to learn despite the challenges they face as English Language Learners. They bring rich cultural backgrounds and diverse perspectives to our classroom, creating a vibrant and inspiring learning environment. What I love most about them is their determination—they never give up, even when the language or content feels difficult.
The VR headsets will allow students to experience places, concepts, and events in an immersive way that words alone can't always convey, helping them build vocabulary and understanding through visual context.
This will be especially powerful for students new to English, making abstract ideas more concrete. These resources will not only support academic growth but also boost confidence, engagement, and a love for learning.
