This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of the great things about all students' summer break is the free time they have to be with family and friends, and to experience new things. Unfortunately, there is often academic loss. In order to prevent any academic loss during the summer break, I plan to provide the students with a journal entitled the Gratitude Journal where they will be able to respond to daily prompts. This will enable the students to write daily and think about the experiences they will be having during the summer.

The summer bridge activity workbook will help the students to review the skills they will need to have mastered as they enter the 5th grade.
