Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are bright and eager to learn, but many lack access to the essential tools needed for success in mathematics – specifically, graphing calculators. In our Pre-Calculus class, the TI-84 graphing calculator is a vital tool for visualizing complex concepts, analyzing data, and solving challenging problems. Many of our students come from low-income backgrounds and cannot afford to purchase their own. By providing a classroom set of TI-84 calculators, we can ensure that every student has an equal opportunity to engage fully with the curriculum, develop a deeper understanding of mathematical principles, and build confidence in their abilities. These calculators will not only support our daily lessons but also prepare them for standardized tests and future STEM-related fields. Your generous donation will directly impact their learning and help us bridge the achievement gap.

The TI-84 graphing calculator is more than just a calculator; it's a powerful tool that allows students to explore functions visually, analyze real-world data, and make connections between abstract concepts and concrete examples.

With a classroom set of TI-84 calculators, students will be able to actively participate in lessons, work collaboratively on projects, and develop a deeper intuition for mathematical ideas. This technology will empower them to become confident problem-solvers and critical thinkers, setting them on a path for success in future math courses and beyond. Your support will provide our students with invaluable resources that will enhance their learning experience and open doors to new opportunities.
