Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Through amazing donors and other teachers I have been able to assemble a diverse classroom library. I have books in a wide range of topics and difficulty levels as well as in english and spanish in order to better serve my population of students. What we most need now is a way to display and organize books so they can be easily accessed by students. Having an organized library makes students more likely to choose books independently and to take better care of our supplies. The bookmarks will help them track the pages they are on and also make it so that we can see which titles receive more love. This is good information when it comes to purchasing more books based on student interest.

Headphones with microphones built in mean we can meet the various accommodation needs of our students.

English language learners come with a large variety of skill levels. Some require text to speech, speech to text, audio books, or translation devices. Having enough headphones to go around means I don't have to single students who need headphones more often than others.

I aim to grow with my students. I want to adapt to their needs. We are in school 40 hours a week. Students deserve to feel calm, at peace, and seen in this environment. Thank you.
