My Project
Technology today connects us to the world. It connects us to our peers, to our hopes and dreams, to the future. I serve student's in special education, many with multiple disabilities that impact their ability to participate in academic and leisure activities. During our occupational therapy sessions my students love to be engaged with technology, which is increasingly difficult with the lack of access to adapted materials as simple as touchscreen or physically mobile devices.
Help me give my students with multiple disabilities the ABILITY to physically access educational software, learn functional computer skills, and gain independence in using the internet for both education and leisure like their general education peers.
