This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our student’s need chart paper to create anchor charts and enhance their everyday learning. Like an anchor, anchor charts serve as a way to hold and capture students’ thoughts, ideas, and all the learning that occurs in the classroom.
Our school has a large English Language Learners population and with chart paper they will be able to further develop their language skills by referencing key vocabulary and academic language.
Our multilingual learners will use the chart paper to visually bridge the two languages through contrastive analysis.
The chart paper will be use as a teaching tool to helps to visually capture important information, differentiate instruction and engage students in the lessons. Additionally, anchor charts serve as a great scaffolded support in the classroom offering a visual reference for students as they work independently.
