This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Seeing the curiosity that sparks within the Biology students is inspiring. The students at our high school are not only full of wonder but full of drive for success. More than 60% of our students are learning English as their second language, so we see that they let nothing get in the way of their dreams!

As biology teachers, this is what we strive to do. We strive to bring out students' natural curiosity and explorative minds. Our students not only rise to the challenge of solving problems but exceed them by asking questions that fuel their education. Tenth graders at our high school are full of intelligence, life, and curiosity.

My Project

The transition to online learning has been difficult for students and teachers alike -- adapting to a virtual setting without the necessary resources to ensure we are providing the best education possible. Notably, there has been a lack of technology, access, and accommodations.

With one tablet, we will be able to annotate on slides in real time so students can receive the animations that would have been provided in person.

This feature will allow us to accommodate to our students' needs so that we may provide a better quality of education during these times.
