My Science Olympiad students need supplies to build wooden bridges for their competition, including power tools, storage containers, batteries, and calculators.
I teach high school physics students. I also coach our school's Science Olympiad team. Many female students have shown interest in our team, and I want to offer them the best possible scientific opportunities at this crucial and early age.
Our Science Olympiad team is filled with energy and excitement after our first successful year of competition. More than 25 students participated in a host of two dozen events that span the entire spectrum of scientific disciplines. In order to bring our team up to the next level, we need appropriate supplies.
We need wood for bridge building, drills and soldering pens for fashioning original devices. We need regulation calculators, goggles, aprons, and many other scientific tools that are required for Science Olympiad events. We also need to organize ourselves with three-ring binders, clear storage bins, and tool boxes.
Your donation will help our team find success for years to come. Your donation will provide students the opportunity to engage with science on a realistic level. Our four coaches, two male, two female, will ensure that this equipment is used to its full potential. We will invite and encourage students of both genders and from all socio-economic backgrounds.
