it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our project is designed to enrich our special education classroom by introducing a student-run coffee cart stocked with tea, hot chocolate, cookie mixes, and other simple treats. More than just a fun addition, this cart will become a dynamic learning tool—offering our students real-world opportunities to develop essential life skills such as handling money, making change, budgeting, staying organized, and taking responsibility.
This hands-on experience also encourages vital social-emotional growth.
As students serve staff and peers, they’ll practice communication, teamwork, and professionalism in a warm, low-pressure environment. The cozy, welcoming space created by the cart fosters a strong sense of classroom community, helping students feel supported, engaged, and motivated.
Our goal is to integrate practical, meaningful learning into our daily routine—empowering students to gain confidence and independence while strengthening relationships throughout the school. These incredible learners are always eager to take on new challenges, and with your support, we can give them a project that fuels both their skills and their self-esteem.
