Brewing Kindness: Coffee Cart Supplies with SEL in every Sip

Help me give my students the coffee supplies they need to continue running a coffee cart. Every cup they serve fosters kindness, confidence, and connection within our school community.

My Project

Our special education students are eager to learn real-world skills while fostering a sense of community and kindness. The “Brewing Kindness” coffee cart project will provide them with hands-on experience in managing a small business while also focusing on essential social-emotional learning (SEL) skills like communication, teamwork, empathy, and problem-solving. With your support, we will stock our coffee cart with the necessary supplies like cups, coffee, creamer, and sugar, along with organizational tools such as storage and protective covers. This project is designed to help students practice life skills that will empower them in future work environments, all while building confidence, enhancing social interactions, and creating positive relationships with staff and peers.

Each cup served is an opportunity for our students to develop self-awareness, social responsibility, and emotional regulation in a safe, supportive setting.

By learning to greet customers, fulfill orders, and work together, they will grow both academically and personally, experiencing pride in their accomplishments.

This project will not only benefit our special education students but also create a sense of community as they interact with the broader school, spreading kindness with every cup they serve. With your help, our students will have the tools they need to thrive and develop vital life skills through this engaging and meaningful project.
