My Students
COVID has adversely affected our first grade like every other classroom in America! We've had SO many students out sick or just staying home to avoid the virus each week. As we all know, they are missing essential in person academic instruction as well as social/emotional experiences with their peers. First grade is such a crucial year to learn to read. We need the kids in school to most effectively teach them how to do that!
My Project
This air purifier is directly related to helping students in light of COVID-19! It will be used in the classroom daily to clean the air we breathe.
We are pros at social distancing, sanitizing our desks and room, washing our hands frequently and wearing our masks, but having this air purifier would be another, great layer to our prevention and mitigation efforts in the classroom!
Keeping students in class healthy, helping to bring those students back who have been staying away and helping to prevent future infections is the intent of this grant application. I'd be most grateful - thank you!
