This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students and I need your help to make sure my classroom is a space where everyone is healthy and happy. Our community has exceptionally high rates of asthma and allergies, so having a clean classroom free of pollutants is essential. The air purifier, fan, and vacuum will help to make this possible.

In addition to having a clean space, my students must also have their basic needs addressed.

This means having food in the classroom for when students are hungry, being able to provide frequently requested toiletries, and offering extras like candy and stress relievers to help students maintain positive mental health. If we want students to succeed academically, we must first support their physical and mental health by creating a comfortable classroom environment. I want to ensure that every student knows they are loved and cared for in my class, and you can help make that happen.
