Our school has truly embraced Free Choice Reading! I would love to encourage my students to continue reading during French class too. Not only will they be receiving comprehensible input from authentic sources, but it is also a time to focus, let their breath settle, and allow them to be in an almost meditative state. Such amazing benefits from reading in French. My district also has a large Haitian community, and I am looking to help those students make connections from Creole and French at home to the written word.
