My students need a dry erase board in the classroom to replace the original chalkboard. The dust from the chalk is hazardous and we all need to breathe clean air!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Di Mare's classroom raised $215

My Students
My class consists of 29 students, 10 of which are special education students. The entire class of students benefits from visual aids, and having lessons modeled for them. As a whole group, much of our classroom work, especially math, is shown on the blackboard. It would be great to learn dustless.
My students come from extremely low income families, but are very eager to learn!
School is the only place that some of them are exposed to any educational materials at all. The school I teach in is a Title 1 school, so getting supplies and funding is difficult.
My Project
My students need a dry erase board in the classroom to replace the original chalkboard. The dust from the chalk is hazardous and we all need to breathe clean air! The students would be so excited to come up in front of the class and show their work on a dry erase board! It would not only be dustless, but using markers would also help those students with occupational therapy needs. Colored markers would make lessons colorful and exciting!!
My students will have a greater quality of life during their school hours without the hazards of breathing in chalk dust.
Many of the students already have asthma and other health issues, and they deserve a safe, healthy learning environment.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
