Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am currently working in the city of San Bernardino where our students are some of the most hardworking, motivated and energetic kids around. They come from a diverse set of backgrounds including low-income households, single-parent homes, and situations with violence, abuse and also love. Our students, parents, and teachers work hard to make sure that we serve our students to the best of our ability in order to give them the education they deserve.

Going to school in San Bernardino often means you have to do everything alone but not my students; they will have me to guide them in the right direction and always give them 100% of my attention and support.

Our students are appreciative and value everything that is given to them no matter how small.

Our students work hard so that they can become someone in life and return to our community in order to change it for the better. These students are not just San Bernardino students. They are also independent, smart, respectful, responsible, hardworking, and fun, and they love to learn.

My Project

Breakout EDU is the immersive learning games platform. With Breakout EDU kits, our classroom will turn into an academically-focused escape room and facilitate games where players use teamwork and critical thinking to solve a series of challenging puzzles in order to open the locked box.

Breakout will be used to challenge students in all academic areas; my goal will be to challenge them mathematically!

Students will work collaboratively to solve real-world problems in a structured and supportive environment. This kit includes locks, boxes, riddles and unique strategies that play to the project-based learning method instead of traditional teaching. With this kit, you will help our students have an engaging experience that allows them to think critically while having fun!
