Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a Title 1 School in Galt, CA with many low income students who are hardworking and motivated to learn. Students are energetic and competitive and full of many strengths and working on a culture of kindness. Many families speak Spanish at home and are at various levels of reading and language development.
We are a TK-6 School filled with amazing students and are committed to personalized learning and ensuring that every student succeeds and meets their own personal goals to showcase their strengths.
My Project
My students are incredibly hard-working and are learning to annotate in Language Arts and have made great progress this year reading complex texts like Tom Sawyer, Corn Informational text and even about Supreme Court Cases such as Dred Scott. I would like to infuse the idea of Breakout Edu classroom escapes to increase the engagement and excitement level of our learning.
By donating to this project, you will inspire my students to add hands-on learning to our language arts curriculum and add new energy and practice to concepts like main idea and summarizing and many more areas like Social Studies and Science.
Thank you for your help with this project. I think the idea of the Breakout Edu concept will be incredibly exciting for my students and allow us to practice language arts in unique way. My students are very competitive and know they will love the idea of working in teams to "break out of the classroom."
