Our students thrive on attending an arts integrated school. We are a Title One school with a free or reduced lunch population of 76%. I teach struggling learners, as well as high achievers in grades 1-4. The high achievers excel in classroom work, so I provide them with additional activities to expand their thinking. Most of our children don't have the opportunity for this kind of growth at home, so there is a need to provide them with this at school.
My students thrive on working in small groups to problem solve and bounce their thoughts off of one another.
They often come to school without the communication skills they need to succeed in today's world. We are not only teaching subject matter - but lifelong skills as well. These kits provide an awesome opportunity for my students.
I would like the BreakoutEDU kits for my classes. This will be a great way to get the students engaged in their subject matter while incorporating critical thinking skills. Breakout boxes are student-centered and inquiry-based. They promote collaborative thinking and team building which are lifelong skills our students will need in the future.
The kits can be used for new lessons, as well as reinforce and elaborate on what they are learning in their classrooms in a fun and exciting way.
The students love to problem solve together and these kits encourage that in a unique way. The kits provide an air of excitement and challenge, which make the students want to work even harder.
