Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school has made tremendous gains over the past twelve years, moving from one of the lowest-performing schools in the area to achieving the honor of being named a California Distinguished School!

We are an example of a community of students, teachers, parents, and staff all working together for academic achievement.

Our hope is that many of our students will be the first generation in their families to go to college!

The majority of my students are English language learners (ELLs) whose families are newcomers to America. They are highly motivated to learn and prosper.

My Project

Breakout EDU will not only make learning fun, but will also build community and teamwork among my students. Students will be placed in groups to solve problems by using their critical thinking skills. They will also develop their oral language skills.

Breakout EDU will challenge my students as they work together to read through and try to solve various puzzles and problems.

They will be engaged in subject areas such as language arts, math, science, and social studies.

Thank you for considering our project. I can assure you that the two Breakout EDU kits will make a significant impact in my students' education.
