Breakout EDU & Breakdown Boredom

My Students

My 24 amazing students are some of the hardest working kids! This is my second year with my bunch as I Iooped with them from 3rd grade to 4th grade. We are truly a close group and have a joyful and upbeat classroom community!

Our 4th grade class always comes together to support and lift each other while maintaining growth mindsets.

Our energetic classroom could use your help to bring more 21st century skills (critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity) to our room!

My Project

The Breakout EDU boxes are a perfect way to incorporate all curricular areas and increase student engagement and school climate. These kits will enhance students' critical thinking strategies. By using these boxes students are able to not only focus on thinking and problem solving, but they are also able to engage in cooperative learning. The puzzles to be solved in the Breakout EDU boxes will be built around our state standards in all subject areas. Students will work with a growth mindset and perseverance.

All of these skills are essential to students entering into an ever-changing, global workforce.

Breakout EDU boxes allow teachers to set up teams of students to solve real-world problems using team work and critical thinking to open a series of boxes. These boxes put students in charge of their learning, which allows teachers to actively assess their academics and their approaches to learning.
