My Students

All of my students participate in community service projects throughout the school year, these include blood drives, making food baskets for people in need at Thanksgiving, raking lawns for elderly community members, raising money for the local animal shelter and our largest community service project is called Santa's Helpers. My students sell raffle tickets to raise money to buy Christmas gifts for underprivileged children within our community. Many of my students have had their fair share of struggles themselves but they are the first ones to come up with great ideas to give back to the community. My students are such an inspiration!

My Project

Most of my students live well below the poverty level and will be first generation college students. I'm hoping to purchase the iPads to be raffled off at our Senior Night Closing Ceremony. I'm hoping this will lighten the financial burden for some families. My students have worked very hard to get where they are academically and these would be an amazing asset to them. Closing Ceremony is a celebration of the years achievements. During this ceremony we also celebrate all of our Seniors that are going to college, into the workforce or Military. This will send them off with confidence!
