My Students
My students are simply the best part of my day. These kids are the sweetest and most genuine children you would ever meet. Many of them come from environments that are designed to make them fail. They are consistently reminded of everything that they have yet to accomplish. Of the opportunities they are not afforded due to their location and community reputation. But each day they come to school with a smile on their face ready to prove everyone wrong.
They live by their own standards and have set limits for themselves that most adults could not live by.
They truly are dedicated to their success.
My Project
This Breakout Kit is the tool that I have been searching months for. This kit will allow me to engage students in both an academic and practical approach. Students will be able to use the skills learned in class to complete the mission and succeed.
Students will have practical knowledge of critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills.
They will be forced to work together, in a team, and communicate with those that are different from themselves. They will be pushed outside of their comfort zones.
I will not have to beg them to participate for they will be requesting to do the activity again. This kit will allow me to have everyone involved and allow students to show off the application of skills learned in the course.
