In our small school, students know each other by name, enjoy watching the Friday night football game, and say "Thank you" when someone holds open the door. We are a small-town American school that encourages our students to dream big.
While we may not have the resources of larger districts (almost 50% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch), our students do have the drive to succeed!
I am privileged to teach my students about the amazing field of Computer Science, including programming, cybersecurity, and computer applications.
My Project
Tomorrow's world requires today's students to be creators, troubleshooters, outside-the-box thinkers, and team players. With Breakout EDU Kits, my students will work collaboratively to solve problems that require critical thinking, engagement, and respect for each other–all skills that will help them succeed in their careers.
The breakout puzzles and equipment will also reinforce the Computer Science lessons that my students are learning in a fun and engaging way.
And...it allows them to unplug from technology for a while and develop important social skills.
This project will allow my students to have positive learning experiences while increasing their understanding of Computer Science concepts.
