it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are curious, hardworking, and always ready to help one another. They thrive when learning is hands-on and engaging, especially with challenging topics like fractions. What makes them special is their willingness to take on challenges, support one another, and celebrate each other’s growth. They truly want to understand the "why" behind what they’re learning — especially in math. Fractions can be a tough concept, but with the right tools, I know they can master it and even have fun along the way.
These resources will make fractions come alive in our classroom.
Hands-on materials like fraction tiles, visual aids, and engaging games will help students move from confusion to clarity. Instead of just memorizing rules, they will build a deep conceptual understanding of how fractions work. My goal for this project is to create a more interactive and supportive environment where students feel confident tackling complex math concepts and are excited to learn.
