My Students

My students come from an urban environment full of diverse cultures. I’ve grown up in these neighborhoods myself, and it is a daily challenge for many. I want to give them the peaceful lives that they deserve, the one I found, through obtaining a higher level of education. They have shown me great potential through their actions, perseverance, and mathematical explanations. I want to continue to be a part of the process in their academic development. We are limited on resources as is, but since we have shifted where learning will take place, I’m afraid that my students don’t have the necessary supplies to efficiently continue their education.

We are motivated to continue our learning, despite the circumstances!

My Project

Besides just doing math activities from what we see in our home or on computers, it would be great to see kids interacting with different environments as we continue learning mathematics. With the current pandemic, it’s even more difficult for urban children to explore the world outside of their own community. After witnessing the potential of these kids and seeing how their personalities and thoughts can impact our world, I want to do everything possible to give my students the best experience in schooling they will ever have during these rough times. Together, we can get through this challenge! Thanks!
