Breakfast Piano Music

Please help me give my students a musically satisfying experience while eating breakfast in the cafeteria. I want to order a new digital piano to play in the cafeteria at breakfast time each day.

My Project

Each morning, during breakfast time, I play the piano for the students at Mary Bryan Elementary School. The piano music helps them spend more time eating and less talking and reduces behavior issues. I love to take requests from my students. They ask me to play songs such as “Baby Shark,” “Twinkle Twinkle,” “Spider-Man,” and the like. (I play by ear, so I can almost always play most of the songs they request.) Sometimes, a student will ask to play a short piece on the piano for the other kids, and I often allow it. The problem is that the digital piano we use is 27 years old and lives on borrowed time.

I want to buy a new digital piano, which will hopefully last many years.

Playing the piano at breakfast is a win-win for me and my students. They experience a live music performance each day, and I interact with them musically, creating positive vibes for the beginning of the school day.

The piano I hope to get also has an input for a guitar, which is great because I play the guitar. If I had that feature on my cafeteria piano, I could switch off between piano and guitar.
