My Project
The students that attend my school are extraordinary students who love to learn. Many of the students here utilize art as an outlet of expression. By providing our Breakfast After the Bell cart, we can ensure kids have the nutrition they need to focus on their learning! The demographics at our school are diverse: Forty-eight percent African American, six percent Hispanic, forty-two percent Caucasian and a total of fifty-six percent are economically disadvantaged. Our students are capable and eager. I’m asking for a mini fridge, a snack cart, and starter snacks to start our breakfast after the bell area for any student who checks in after the start of the school day but has not yet had breakfast. This breakfast area will be replenished with uneaten breakfast from the cafeteria every day in addition to the supplies donated to this project.
This project is important because it helps to meet student's basic needs so they can be the very best learners possible.
We are so excited to have the tools we need to eliminate students going to class hungry due to circumstances outside of their control.
