The variety of math games has made daily practice more exciting and has encouraged students to participate, stay focused, and build confidence in their math abilities. Students who once found fact practice frustrating are now more motivated to practice and improve.\r\n\r\nAs students have strengthened their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts, they have become more confident when working through multi-step problems. Instead of spending so much time trying to recall basic facts, they can focus on the steps needed to solve more challenging problems. This increased fluency has helped reduce frustration and has encouraged students to persevere rather than give up when a problem becomes difficult.\r\n\r\nThe games have also created opportunities for students to learn together, practice important skills, and celebrate one another's progress. Students look forward to using the games and are learning that math practice can be both meaningful and fun. This project is helping my students build a stronger mathematical foundation while developing the confidence and persistence they need to become successful learners.","fullyFundedDate":1630873523041,"projectUrl":"project/ready-get-set-practice-your-math-facts/5580813/","projectTitle":"Ready, Get Set, Practice Your Math Facts! 5th Grade Edition","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Woods","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3738556_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1470778690874","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrskwoods"},{"teacherId":6609104,"projectId":9863852,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for investing in our classroom and my students. We received our first monthly pack of Scholastic magazines and my students were so excited! The first magazine we read together was all about spring. We had been studying plants and characteristic of different seasons and the magazine went along with the unit perfectly. My students loved getting their very own magazine. They especially loved that they could put it in their book box to continue reading at school or take it home to share with family. They also loved the last page of the magazine had an activity that they could complete on their own. Each of the magazines complemented the units that I had already planned perfectly. We are so excited to see what other topics we receive from Scholastic Magazines in the future! Thank you again for making learning more enjoyable for my babies and giving them great way to share that learning at home with their family!","fullyFundedDate":1767820679074,"projectUrl":"project/scholastic-literacy-for-little-learners/9863852/","projectTitle":"Scholastic Literacy for Little Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kendrick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6609104_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x0,y32&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762567207403","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6609104"},{"teacherId":10349223,"projectId":9892908,"letterContent":"My students are LOVING using these materials to enforce beginning, middle and end sounds in words.
