My Project

As a teacher, I have always tried to make my learning both fun and functional. Thankfully we are living in a great age of education for that. The biggest obstacle I face is not uncooperative students or a lack of ability in my classroom. It is the funds to bring everything I want to into our classroom to help to give these great students the best year of school that they have had yet. That is truly my goal.

I want them to know that learning can be fun and that challenges are not something to avoid, but instead to embrace.

I believe in the maker vision and that learning can be both enjoyable and challenging at the same time. I have seen it in action over the past few years. My students have already done some amazing things. I have introduced many years of students to beginning coding now, and many now choose to do it in their free time. The students' creativity and energy is so exciting to be around.

We are requesting a BreakoutEDU kit which would be another amazing yet totally different experience that I could bring to my students. I did it one other year and was very happy with it. It reinforces so many valuable qualities that we admire such as teamwork, higher order thinking skills, and problem-solving. It does all this and more while still being enjoyable. I also love that there are many different challenges across multiple subjects included in this package. With your help, my goal is to use it with my classes each month. We would love your support.
