My students need numerous locks and lock boxes to actively engage in learning. With these locks and the tool boxes they will work in teams to solve various educational puzzles.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Today students face many social and economic struggles yet they are the happiest children you will ever meet. I teach second grade Dual Language Learners in a border community. Their desire to learn is to be commended. They deserve to have an opportunity to be prepared for jobs that may have not been invented yet. Technology will facilitate their problem solving abilities while preparing them for their future.
Today's students need to an active learning environment.
Long are the days where students should sit in rows, quietly while working independently. Thanks to donors like you we are receiving funding to implement great things in our classrooms.
My Project
Students need to move while learning. They also need to learn to work in teams. By funding my project to create break out boxes you are giving them the opportunity to work as a team.
Break out boxes are a fun active way for all students to learn while working with each other.
The students will work together to using clues to solve a problem. Working together they will gain respect for others. Their commitment to their team mates and the desire to solve problems will help them in life. Plus it doesn't hurt that they are having fun while doing it.
