This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are curious, eager to learn and play. We are a big class of kindergarteners in the heart of downtown Ogden, Utah. They are a diverse group of students learning to cooperate and participate. We are a magnet school for STEM and I love seeing how my students approach problems. It creates many opportunities to practice resilience. We recently brainstormed a way to make a sign on our bathroom door so we always know when it’s vacant. They love to come up with their own ideas and draw them out! I’m grateful to be a part of it all!
My Project
My classroom is in need of supplies for math and language arts centers, incentives, an updated classroom library, and effective storage. I'm trying to encourage more independent work and teaching them to organize their own supplies.
My students love to explore and are eager to solve everyday problems.
As a class, we have brainstormed ways to have a more efficient classroom. These supplies will help us reach our goals of being more organized. I added incentives to help with behavior so we can all have a safe and happy school year.
