Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Having a full snack cabinet for students helps to give them the food security that will help them focus on learning. Students know if they are hungry all they have to do is ask. When they are not hungry they can focus on learning.

My goal is for every student to know they have a safe place they can come for food if they are hungry.

A large percent of my school is considered at the poverty level. This means food and hunger are real worries for these young learners. I am trying to help my students be able to be successful learners.
